About Us

Co-founding sisters Katy and Gracen redefine the traditional lampshade, curating classic fabrics and vibrant patterns that shift even the most ordinary lamps into works of art.

Continuing a Family Heritage

Katy and Gracen grew up among antiques and classic style. Their mother was an antiques dealer, their father an engineer, and both had an eye for proportion and harmony. As such, both daughters have always been involved in something creative.

The Glenns routinely visited a secluded cabin in the mountains of NC, and these visits always included hikes, picnics and picking galax along the creekside trails. The Sorella Glenn logo is derived from the galax leaf.

After pursuing separate creative paths, Katy and Gracen reunited to found Sorella Glenn with a shared mission: revitalizing the art of bespoke, handcrafted lampshades and making them available to everyone

"When you see a Sorella Glenn shade, you immediately recognize the high quality that separates it from the rest."

Meticulously Handcrafted

Our pleated lampshades are handmade in the USA, ensuring the finest bespoke quality. They feature premium trim details and fabric linings. The frames are made on location with American steel wire, and the fabric is hand pleated and pinned to the frames. The large amount of fabric required for pleating creates rich, luxurious fabric lampshades. When you see a Sorella Glenn lampshade, you immediately recognize our high attention to detail.

Why Choose Sorella Glenn

Beautiful Materials

We source European linens and American-printed cotton for our fabric lampshades. Our Bali lampshades are hand dyed, and our painted shades are painted with Benjamin Moore paint.

Attention to Detail

All pleated lampshades feature a double layer of trim on the top and bottom, adding elegance and customization options. The pleated shades are true soft back lampshades; they all have internal frames with fabric linings.

Made in America

We support skilled American craftspeople, preserving traditional techniques while creating meaningful employment in our communities.
